Mid-Day Thought

So today I actually have a mid-day thought and I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to write it out. As I sit on the floor of a classroom, surrounded by precious little ones sleeping, being grateful for nap time, even though I’m not in a classroom all day anymore, I am great for this chance.

Nothing crucial or over the top is on my mind, just some creative ideas for some good writes. I’ll definitely take a little bit of time to diving into those today and later this evening. Am I excited about these random, spontaneous writing spurts…absolutely!

Now if you’re reading and wondering what could be my mid-day thought…easy. Today’s mid-day thought is simply how nice life is when things flow into place. Sometimes things don’t always work out the way we want or things take an unexpected turn, but we have to trust the process. And that’s what I’ve been doing lately.

In a short timespan, I have really had to learn to stop overthinking/overanalyzing the process and literally trust the process 100%. Was it easy to do so? Absolutely not. Do I still struggle with it from time to time? Absolutely! How am I feeling with it right now? Well I am definitely finding myself relying better on the process, which honestly surprises me because in the past, trusting processes has not be a strong suit at all.

But I guess that comes with growing up, gaining more maturity over time with age, and having umpteenth different experiences to learn from. Which is a lot of ways I am thinking for all the opportunities and experiences, because I know those definitely helped me to better accept things happening and to expect almost anything.

I might look into doing a podcast about this later this week or even tonight…we shall see.

Until the next time…

Time To Catch Up…Buckle Up…

I don’t even know where to begin. The last post was back during the Thanksgiving Season and so much has happened since that season. I was feeling extra inspired today, and I just HAD to run with it. What did I do? Take myself to Starbucks after work and well here we are now literally writing out this blog.

Where do I go with what with’s been going on? Well for starters, my oldest childhood best friend and sister for all intents and purposes got married back in November and that was the time of my life. There is just something amazing about seeing someone you’re close to with getting married and transitioning into their next chapter. I am nothing but happy for her and still am.

What else could have been happening? Well I’ve been working on finishing my CDA for the Preschool and well somehow, someway I found myself getting into a little promotion…one that I was never expecting in a million years. I’ve worked my way up to being the school’s coordinator. And yes this is with being the Preschool Ministry Coordinator for the church as well. It was such a surprise, but I am honestly thrilled about it. We have had so many moving pieces in the school; however, I know at some point things will slow down and I’ll be able to really dive into the job…and I am just exciting about it.

The only other major thing that happened that I am SUPER thrilled about, and now can hardly contain myself over is that I won concert tickets from the radio. Now, you might be laughing at me because I’m actually blogging about this, but you don’t understand. These just aren’t any regular concert tickets. No, no. These are concert tickets to a TIM MCGRAW CONCERT! I have been wanting to see this man in concert for years, like serious years, and here I am, 20 years later…FINALLY going to one of his concerts. And yes, it is not joke. I have been a fan of this man since I was a good 7-8 year old little girl. Which means childhood self is screaming at the top of her lungs over this excitement.

As for anything else going on, that is honestly it. Everything has just been the same. I know I am really aiming to try and write/blog more, but I am not going to kick myself about it mainly for the fact of my hecka busy life & schedule. I have a lot of moving pieces happening, but things are going smooth, so I just got to keep going and looking up.

For my fellow readers, thanks for taking the time to read my sporadic posting. Deep down inside, I know, in reality, that not many are reading (if any at all), but that’s not going to stop me from writing here and there. And who knows, maybe one day I can get the dream blogging schedule going…you just never know.

Now, I am going to try and not promise a post in the next couple of days or so, but I definitely will say be on your radar for one coming soon.

Until next time…

Last Minute Stay

Today was a very emotional day. For the last 5 days I have been living life in Knoxville, TN, visiting my sister. I ate well. I hung out with family. I could not have asked for a better vacation.

However, like every good vacation, it must come to an end. Except this traveling girl was not ready for that. I drove over 8 hours to decide that I was not ready for my vacation to be over. Nope, instead, as the rain began to pour, I was on the phone making reservations to stay somewhere for the night.

Now you might be wondering – Girl, how much more did you have to go if you were already driving 8 hours….well my complete drive (including stops for food, gas, and the occasional potty stop) would equal out to be 10 hours. Before you say (or think) anything, allow me to remind you…it has been a VERY emotional day….and like any other girl or honestly person who has an emotional day, your day can go from being thrilling and adrenaline worthy to sappy and sad within minutes. So, I felt the smart move was made.

Stop for the night in a nice, well rated Hotel, order some delicious Seafood Pasta, and just enjoy some time alone…and there’s nothing wrong with that.

And that’s exactly what this girl is about to do. I took a rejuvenating shower, got into my new satin pajama set from Victoria Secret (and yes they are pink!), opened a word document to do a little typie-type (writing), and just enjoy the rest of the evening…seeing that’s 15 minutes till 11:00 pm.

With that, I shall sign off for the night. I’ll do my ABSOLUTE best to try and give a summary about my getaway…and honestly, work on doing better with this blog, in general.

New Excitement!

Currently excitement fills my ENTIRE body as I write this blog entry. Today, well this evening, I accomplished one of the biggest For the past two years I have been working here and there to get my certification to be a Medical Assistant.

And tonight at 9:15 EST (7:15 MT for my school), I completed my FINAL assignment/exam for the Medical Assistant Program. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would actually accomplish such a task while it all being in the comfort of my house. Like I got to work at my own pace, take my time, and after what seemed like a VERY long time, I have finally finished a dream of mine!

Gosh, I could scream at the top of my lungs with the excitement that I have flowing through my veins.

Now to take the National Certification Test and then be on my way. This is good. This is VERY good. I can’t wait to see what the future lies ahead.

Late Night Thought – Excitement

The only word that is coming to mind right now is EXCITEMENT! Now, I know what you’re thinking….girl it’s like the middle of the night, how in the world are you feeling any sort of excitement?

Well, my dear reader, that’s a good question. As I sit here in bed, typing away at the keyboard, and watching (well more like quoting) Star Wars: A New Hope, I can’t help but feel excitement flowing through my veins.

While I sit here though, harboring over this positive feeling, I began to really look into what’s gotten my excitement level up, and the only thing that comes to this late night mind of mine is the fact that I’ve started a new project that I’ve been wanting to really do for quite some time.

I cannot even begin to tell you how long I’ve been wanting to do a blog website, but already I can tell that this is going to go well. Now, I am not going to be one of those who tries to post EVERYDAY, because I’m going to be honest, I won’t do that. However, I do know that I will be one who posts when she feels she should post…and right now, I’m looking at posting a couple of times out of the week. You should also be advised that if I do end up posting more than twice then that’s just the current mood with my blogging flow. At the end of the day, I’m not going to determine how much or little I should post, I’m just going to run with it for a bit, and see what sticks!

Anyway, before I go on a unnecessary tangent about when to post and when not to post, allow me to go back to my excitement. As a writer, I want people to read what I bring to the table. I’m not doing this for money, I’m not doing this for attention, I’m just doing this because I have a passion to write and I want to share that with the world.

Because after all, I am just a girl and her thoughts…so please enjoy! ♡

New Year, New Adventures!

Welcome to the ROARING TWENTIES!

With a new year, we’ve also hit a new decade! On January 1st, we kissed the 2010’s goodbye and cheerfully welcomed the 2020’s.

Well I don’t know about you all, but I am taking this new decade as a HUGE new book for myself. Going into this new decade, I’m in my mid-twenties and let me just say, I’ve got big plans for myself. I’m going to finish things, take on new adventures, and see where life takes me. There’s no timeline attached to me, so why feel like I need to rush anything.

To give you a quick summary and glimpse into how my year has been going the last 31-32 days, allow me to start off by giving you some fun highlights that happened towards the end of 2019.

For starters, I have moved back into the college life and going to school with the end goal in mind that I will fishing my medical schooling. That’s been a dream/goal of mine for quite some time, and I’ve spend more than enough time dwelling and lingering if I wanted to accomplish it.

The next cool thing that happened was I went on a friendcation with my online writing friends. We traveled through the wonderful states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Our major accomplishments were an Ice Nine Kills Concert, a TOOL Concert, and going to the Cincinnati Zoo…oh, along with some mini adventures along the way as well.

Aside from those two exciting accomplishments, the end of the year was just full of learning moments that I’m truly blessed for.

Now, skipping forward to 2020, there hasn’t been much happening other than starting a new job, which I am 100% LOVING and planning for another friendcation. No joke! We started talking about right after the last friendcation at the end of October, and it just worked out that we were able to do this. Where is our destination now you might ask? I’ll be happy to answer….CALIFORNIA! That’s right!

As I am typing this blog, I am sitting in the plane about an hour and a half away from my first destination on this vacation and the excitement is filling even more with every closer step. Aside from getting to see this amazing people once more, I am super excited because this friendcation and getaway has somehow brought me such inspiration to write, to blog, to just do what I love! (This is my fair warning that in the next 12 days, I’ll be taking in the moments that I get to blog about my trip. I’ll even be pulling out the trusty Nikon Camera to take some pictures to include in this posts).

Well that’s all I have! I hope you look forward to my next posts. Thanks for reading, and I am SO happy to be back!
